Florida born but raised in Atlanta, Dr. Jerry Hancock met his wife Courtney long before he knew he’d eventually win “Best Yard in the Neighborhood” and “Most Likely to Fix Your TMJ While Telling You College Football Stats” in the same day.
He headed to UNC Asheville to play soccer, then transferred to the University of Georgia to finish his undergraduate degree. GOOO DAWGS! Sic ’Em!
After that, he made his way to the Medical College of Georgia for dental school to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine. He also completed a residency program focusing on surgery; specifically implants and sedation at MCG.
Dr. Hancock came to Nashville in 2006 and built his dental home off Richard Jones Road before joining the legendary Dr. Jim Crafton in 2014. He went on to purchase Dr. Frank Harrell’s practice in 2019, as well as Dr. Crafton’s practice after Jim’s courageous battle with angiosarcoma. Dentistry is basically the family business, his uncle Dr. David Brown inspired him early, so at this point Jerry’s been doing this long enough to have seen literally everything a mouth can throw at him.
His clinical love languages? TMJ and implants.
At home, he and Courtney have twin daughters, Hadley and Ellaree (CPA proud!). They keep him grounded, God-fearing, and slightly outnumbered. He also has a fur son named Tweedle, who we routinely try to steal for “office morale purposes.”
When he’s not fixing teeth or creating the world’s healthiest bite patterns, Dr. Hancock is:
A few fun facts: He can solve a rubix cube incredibly fast,
Behind the credentials, fun facts, and football loyalty, Dr. Hancock is truly one of the kindest, hardest-working, most grounded men you’ll ever meet. A true servant-hearted leader, steady and loyal, a devoted husband and father, and a dentist who treats every patient like family.
